Located at Blind Pass – the channel that divides Captiva and Sanibel Islands – Turner Beach greets you as you cross onto Captiva. This is the southernmost of the Captiva Island beaches.
Swimming is not advised near the channel due to a dangerous rip current. If you plan on swimming at Turner Beach be sure to stay away from Blind Pass.
Amenities

There is a small parking lot; it is the most affordable of the island’s parking lots. Parking at Blind Pass costs $5 per hour. There are only a few spaces here, and if the lot is full, Blind Pass Beach on Sanibel, just across the bridge, has a larger lot. Portable toilets are at Turner Beach.
Blind pass is a popular place for fishing. Chances are you’ll see a few individuals fishing from the bridge when you visit Turner Beach. Like all Captiva Island beaches, a saltwater fishing license is required when fishing from the beach. The beach is also a popular place for shelling, especially the sandbar near Blind Pass. Just remember, it is illegal to collect live shells.
