Since Hurricanes Helene and Milton last month, the Sanibel Public Works crew has been hard at work getting the beaches and parking lots reopened.
After much hard work, Sanibel Lighthouse Beach has reopened.
Is Sanibel Lightouse Beach Open?
Sanibel Lighthouse Beach has reopened, although the fishing pier and lighthouse area remain closed. In addition to Lighthouse Beach, the following parks are open:
- Lighthouse Beach Parking Lot – Bayside
- Sanibel Boat Ramp
- Bowmans Beach Park
- Gulfside City Park (Algiers)
- Tarpon Bay Road Beach (Trost Parking Lot
As of Nov. 11, 2025, the following areas remain closed:
- Lighthouse Beach Parking Lot – Gulfside
- Blind Pass Parking Lot
- Turner Beach Parking Lot
