If you’ve ever been to Captiva Island, chances are you’ve been to Andy Rosse Lane Park, the island’s most popular beach.

Why is it so popular?

This is the best place to watch sunset on Captiva Island. Every night vacation goers gather here, grab a drink at the Mucky Duck and watch the sun disappear into the Gulf of Mexico.

Andy Rosse Lane’s beach access is a great place for sunset, fishing or sunbathing. Like all Captiva Island beaches, a saltwater fishing license is required when fishing from the beach. The beach is also a popular place for shelling. Just remember, it is illegal to collect live shells.

This beach is also home to Yolo Watersports beachfront outfitters. Yolo offers parasailing, flyboarding, and other water-based activities.

Nearby Dining

The Mucky Duck Captiva is located right behind the beach. The patio features lunch and dinner options and a bar with live music in the evenings. Indoor dining is also available.

A short walk down Andy Rosse Lane will bring you to most of the island’s off-resort restaurants, including the Keylime Bistro, RC Otter’s, Sunshine Seafood Cafe and Wine Bar, Captiva Island Pizza, and Latte Da.
