Captiva Blonde Ale – Taste of the Island

Whenever we travel to Florida, my husband is on a mission to find beer from local breweries that he can’t get at home. Topping his list? Fort Myers Brewing, Cigar City and Islamorada Brewing. On our most recent trip, he added a new brew to his list of Florida beer favorites: Captiva Blonde Ale.

What is Captiva Blonde Ale?

This beer is an American Blonde Ale from Riptide Brewing located in Boca Grande. It’s brewed in collaboration with Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts, which owns ‘Tween Waters and other local properties.

What does Captiva Blonde Ale taste like?

SCBR’s signature beer is a light, smooth, approachable beer. It’s not too bitter or hoppy and not too malty.

If you enjoy Florida craft beers similar to the Blonde beers from Ft. Myers Brewing and Three Daughters, you’ll definitely enjoy SCBR’s signature beer.

This beer pairs perfectly with the Southwest Florida sun and has the power to sway any beer lover from their usual favorite vacation ale.

Normally, you can find my husband pairing his steak with a glass of red or a dry gin martini. But he couldn’t resist trying the official beer of SCBR at Crow’s Nest Steakhouse. He was not disappointed.

The next afternoon, while relaxing poolside at ‘Tween Waters, he chose to forgo his favorite rum punch at Oasis Pool Bar, and opted for Captiva Blonde Ale.

Exclusively Available At Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts

Captiva Blonde Ale is only available at Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts properties; on tap or in 16-ounce cans. And just like your vacation, this beer is best enjoyed poolside – at ‘Tween Waters Island Resort and Spa.
